About the Role
Pohanka Volkswagen of Salisbury is seeking an experienced service technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Volkswagen vehicles for customers throughout Salisbury and Wicomico County. You'll work in a clean, temperature-controlled shop environment using state-of-the-art equipment to deliver high-quality service to every vehicle that comes through our doors.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose vehicle issues using electronic diagnostic equipment and Volkswagen technical service procedures
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid servicing, filter replacements, and inspections
- Execute repairs on engine, transmission, suspension, brake, and electrical systems
- Test vehicles before and after service to verify proper operation and safety
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings clearly to service advisors and customers
- Follow safety protocols and shop standards while maintaining a professional work environment
What We're Looking For
- ASE certification or equivalent automotive technician credential
- Proven experience as a certified technician or automotive mechanic, ideally with Volkswagen vehicles
- Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge
- Ability to read technical service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and repair manuals
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
