About the Role

We're looking for an experienced tax professional ready to take on greater responsibility in a collaborative firm environment. In this Tax Manager position, you'll oversee client tax matters, lead strategic planning initiatives, and mentor junior team members. This is a full-time role that values strong technical skills paired with leadership capability and client focus.

What You'll Do

• Manage and oversee tax preparation and planning for a portfolio of clients across various industries
• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns with accuracy and compliance in mind
• Develop proactive tax strategies to minimize client liabilities and maximize opportunities
• Conduct tax research, identify risk areas, and provide sound advisory guidance
• Review work prepared by junior staff and ensure quality control standards are met
• Communicate complex tax matters clearly to clients with varying levels of tax knowledge
• Stay current with changing tax regulations and apply them to client situations
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional service and responsiveness

What We're Looking For

• CPA license or demonstrated path toward certification
• 5+ years of public accounting experience in tax practice
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance
• Experience with tax planning and consulting for business clients
• Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation tools
• Excellent organizational, communication, and client management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
• Detail-oriented mindset with commitment to accuracy and deadlines
