Residential Advocate | Hillsborough County

Selah Freedom seeks a compassionate, full-time Residential Advocate to join our team in Brandon, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to directly support individuals in our residential programs as they rebuild their lives and pursue freedom and stability.

About the Role

As a Residential Advocate, you'll be a steady presence and advocate for residents, helping them navigate daily challenges, access resources, and work toward their personal and recovery goals. You'll combine practical support with genuine care, connecting residents to community services and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for long-term success.

What You'll Do

• Provide daily support and mentorship to residents in our programs
• Advocate for residents' needs and connect them with local services and community resources
• Help residents develop life skills, set goals, and track progress toward independence
• Document resident interactions and maintain accurate program records
• Collaborate with counselors, case managers, and other staff to ensure coordinated care
• Participate in program activities and community engagement initiatives
• Maintain a safe, respectful residential environment

What We're Looking For

• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities
• Reliability, compassion, and professional boundaries
• High school diploma or equivalent (some programs may prefer post-secondary education or relevant experience)
• Valid driver's license and clean background check
