Join Maximus as an M365 Platform Engineer in Sparks, Washoe County, Nevada. This is a full-time position responsible for designing, deploying, and operating Microsoft 365 enterprise infrastructure to support critical government programs and services.
About the Role
You'll manage the architecture, administration, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services across a federal environment. This role focuses on ensuring platform stability, security, and scalability for organizations managing mission-critical operations in national defense and public administration.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement Microsoft 365 tenant architecture, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive administration
- Configure and manage Azure Active Directory identity governance, authentication, and access controls
- Establish and enforce data loss prevention, security policies, and compliance controls aligned with federal requirements
- Monitor platform performance, diagnose issues, and manage capacity and growth planning
- Coordinate with security and compliance teams to implement governance standards
- Deploy updates, maintain system integrity, and minimize downtime during maintenance windows
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft 365 at enterprise scale
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure AD
- Experience implementing security, compliance, and data governance in government or regulated environments
- Proficiency with PowerShell, M365 administrative tools, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to obtain or maintain a federal security clearance
- Clear communication and technical documentation skills
