About the Role

The Procurement Planning Specialist (Principal Procurement Specialist) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing procurement strategies and planning initiatives for high-hazard operations. This senior-level position requires strategic thinking, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting the National Nuclear Security Administration's mission-critical work.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement plans aligned with organizational objectives and federal compliance requirements
• Analyze procurement needs across departments and forecast resource requirements
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with internal stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle
• Monitor procurement processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to established policies and regulations
• Prepare reports and recommendations on procurement performance, trends, and improvements
• Lead junior procurement staff and mentor team members in best practices and procedures
• Ensure all procurement activities meet NNSA standards and federal acquisition regulations

What We're Looking For
