About the Role
As a Scientist II with Mission Support and Test Services (MSTS), you will contribute scientific and technical expertise in support of operations at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). This on-site position at Nellis Air Force Base places you at the center of high-hazard experimentation and incident response work that helps safeguard the United States and its allies.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply scientific methods and analysis to support experimentation, testing, and mission objectives at the NNSS.
- Collaborate across engineering, field operations, and technical teams to advance program goals.
- Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate results to project stakeholders.
- Adhere to rigorous safety, security, and quality standards required in high-hazard environments.
Qualifications
- A scientific or technical background relevant to experimentation, testing, or national security operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-interpretation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in a structured, safety-focused setting.
- Willingness to work on-site at Nellis Air Force Base in Clark County, Nevada (this is not a remote role).
- Eligibility to meet the security clearance and access requirements associated with work at the NNSS.
