Class A CDL Company Driver – OTR – Dry Van

U.S. Xpress - OTR is hiring experienced Class A CDL company truck drivers for over-the-road dry van operations based in North East, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, flexible home time, and sign-on bonuses for both solo and team driver arrangements.

About the Role

As a class A CDL truck driver with U.S. Xpress - OTR, you'll operate a commercial vehicle in over-the-road service, transporting freight across the United States in dry van equipment. You'll have the flexibility to select home time that fits your lifestyle while maintaining consistent delivery schedules.

What You'll Do

• Operate a class A commercial motor vehicle safely and professionally on interstate and highway routes
• Transport dry van freight loads across multiple states
• Maintain vehicle inspections, safety compliance, and detailed logbook records
• Coordinate with dispatch and customers to meet delivery deadlines
• Work independently as a solo driver or in teams depending on your preference

What We're Looking For

• Valid class A commercial driver's license
• Minimum of 1 to 5 months verifiable over-the-road trucking experience
• Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT medical examination
• Professional attitude and strong commitment to safety standards
• Ability to manage routes independently and meet tight delivery windows

Compensation & Benefits

Solo drivers earn between 57 to 64 cents per mile based on experience, with an average of 2,000 miles weekly and a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Team drivers receive $5,000 sign-on bonuses (split) with pay ranging from 72 to 80 cents per mile and typical weekly mileage around 5,000 miles. Top-performing over-the-road drivers can earn up to $1,600 per week.
