About the Role

As a Hazard Mitigation and Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Planner, you'll develop and execute comprehensive strategies to reduce risk, strengthen community preparedness, and build sustainable infrastructure. Your work will directly impact how Saipan and the broader CNMI region adapts to natural hazards and builds more resilient communities for the future.

What You'll Do

• Assess natural hazards, vulnerabilities, and community risks across CNMI jurisdictions
• Develop hazard mitigation plans and strategies that align with regional priorities
• Design and coordinate infrastructure improvements that enhance community resilience
• Engage stakeholders—including government agencies, community leaders, and residents—throughout the planning process
• Conduct research, analysis, and technical assessments to inform planning initiatives
• Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and recommendations for implementation
