Amcor is seeking a Platemaker to join our manufacturing operations at a United States facility. In this full-time role, you'll operate precision plate production systems, oversee quality control processes, and prepare finished products for shipment to our customers.
About the Role
As a Platemaker, you'll be responsible for the complete production cycle of plates—from setup and operation through final quality verification. Using our advanced QC software and quality control tools, you'll ensure every manufactured plate meets our exacting standards before shipping. This position operates on a 2-2-3 straight night shift from 6pm to 6am, requiring flexibility and commitment to our production schedule.
What You'll Do
- Operate specialized plate production equipment according to technical specifications and setup instructions
- Apply QC software and inspection tools to verify the quality and accuracy of finished plates
- Package and prepare imaged products for shipment, maintaining product integrity throughout handling and transport
- Document production output, quality metrics, and any issues encountered during your shift
- Troubleshoot basic equipment problems and communicate concerns to the maintenance and supervisory team
- Maintain organized, clean workstations and follow all safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Availability to work full-time night shifts within a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (6pm–6am)
- Prior experience with plate production equipment or demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Proficiency or quick aptitude with QC software and quality inspection systems
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to zero-defect manufacturing standards
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow complex specifications
- Team-oriented attitude with clear communication skills
- Dependability, punctuality, and professional commitment in a manufacturing environment
