About the Role
The Assistant Principal will serve as a key member of the school's administrative team, working alongside the Principal to provide instructional leadership, manage school operations, and support student growth. This 222-day, 11-month contract position places you at the heart of daily school life, where your decisions directly impact the experiences of students and staff.
What You'll Do
- Maintain a safe, inclusive school environment through effective supervision of facilities and daily activities
- Oversee student discipline and attendance policies with fairness and educational intent
- Support instructional excellence by collaborating with teachers on curriculum and professional development
- Foster meaningful relationships with families and community stakeholders
- Participate in hiring, evaluation, and mentorship of school staff
- Contribute to school improvement initiatives and strategic planning
What We're Looking For
- New Hampshire Department of Education (NH DOE) Assistant Principal endorsement or eligibility to obtain it
- Experience in K–12 education with demonstrated interest in school leadership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse audiences
- Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to equity and student success
- Organizational ability and capacity to balance competing priorities
