Travel Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Physical Therapy Assistant

Medlivo Therapy is hiring a full-time Travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment at a skilled nursing facility in Merced, California. Earn $1,900 per week while delivering direct patient care and supporting rehabilitation goals in a structured SNF environment.

About the Role

This is a travel Physical Therapy Assistant position in a skilled nursing facility setting. You'll work 40 hours per week on day shifts, supporting licensed physical therapists in delivering quality rehabilitation services to patients recovering from surgery, injury, or illness. Based in Merced, this temporary assignment combines the flexibility of travel healthcare with stable, predictable scheduling at an established facility.

What You'll Do

• Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises
• Help patients progress through rehabilitation protocols under PT direction and supervision
• Monitor and document patient responses to therapy and report observations to clinical staff
• Maintain a safe and clean therapeutic environment and equipment
• Support patient comfort, independence, and progress in mobility and functional activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated patient care

What We're Looking For

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in California or pending licensure
• Clinical experience or demonstrated willingness to work in skilled nursing facilities
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and patient care principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptability to different facility protocols and patient populations
• Travel healthcare experience preferred but not required
