Kreyco is hiring a part-time Biology/Life Science instructor for the 2026–2027 school year in Sonoma, Sonoma County. If you're an experienced educator passionate about bringing life science to life for your students, we'd like to hear from you.
About the Role
This part-time teaching position offers the opportunity to work with a forward-thinking organization dedicated to transforming K–12 education through direct partnerships with schools and teachers. You'll help shape the next generation's understanding of biology and life science while contributing to a supportive learning community.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver engaging biology and life science curriculum aligned with state standards
- Create dynamic lessons that connect core concepts to real-world applications and student interests
- Build positive relationships with students, fostering curiosity and critical thinking in the life sciences
- Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support student success
- Use evidence-based teaching practices and appropriate instructional materials and technology
What We're Looking For
- Current or eligible teaching credential in Biology or Life Science, or equivalent state certification
- Demonstrated expertise in biology, life science, or related STEM field
- Strong ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and engage diverse learners
- Commitment to educational equity and supporting all students
- Professional approach to collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement
- Passion for creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
