Supergut is hiring a Quality Control Manager for our Chicago, Cook County location. In this full-time role, you'll oversee quality assurance and regulatory compliance across our health and wellness product line, ensuring every formulation meets rigorous safety and efficacy standards.
About the Role
You'll lead our quality control operations as the primary authority on product integrity and customer safety. Working within our Chicago headquarters, you'll establish and enforce testing protocols, maintain FDA and GMP compliance documentation, and partner with manufacturing, product development, and supply chain teams to guarantee that every item meets exacting specifications before distribution.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement quality control procedures, test protocols, and acceptance criteria
- Conduct or oversee product testing including ingredient verification, potency confirmation, and stability studies
- Maintain detailed records and documentation to demonstrate regulatory compliance
- Inspect incoming materials and manage supplier quality assessments
- Lead quality assurance team members and mentor them on testing standards
- Coordinate with product development and manufacturing to address quality findings and non-conformances
- Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement preventive solutions
- Monitor evolving FDA regulations and GMP requirements for dietary supplements
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of quality control or quality assurance experience in supplements, pharmaceuticals, or food manufacturing
- Demonstrated expertise in FDA regulations, cGMP compliance, and analytical testing methods
- Familiarity with quality management systems and laboratory procedures
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and solve complex quality problems
- Team leadership experience or track record managing quality initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, food science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset across cross-functional teams
