About the Role

As an Associate Professor in the Helms School of Government, you will design and deliver engaging courses across our graduate and undergraduate programs, fostering intellectual growth and principled leadership in your students. You will combine rigorous academic standards with a commitment to developing the next generation of government, policy, and civics professionals.

What You'll Do

• Teach government, political science, public policy, or related courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels
• Develop course curricula that integrate scholarly research with practical applications and real-world policy challenges
• Mentor and advise students on their academic and professional development
• Conduct and publish original research that advances the field of government and public service
• Participate actively in department and university committees and initiatives
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen the School of Government's academic programs and community partnerships

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree required; Ph.D. in Government, Political Science, Public Administration, or closely related field preferred
• Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
• Demonstrated research and scholarly output in government or political science
• Strong communication skills and passion for mentoring diverse learners
• Personal commitment to Liberty University's Christian mission and values, with active engagement in spiritual formation within a biblically informed worldview
• Ability to foster an inclusive, intellectually rigorous learning environment
