Consultant, Scientific and Laboratory Informatics

Join Accenture as a Consultant, Scientific and Laboratory Informatics in our Grand Central, Manhattan office. We're seeking a strategic advisor to help life sciences and biotech enterprises modernize their lab operations through advanced informatics solutions and digital transformation.

About the Role

As a Consultant specializing in Scientific and Laboratory Informatics, you'll partner with Fortune 500 and emerging enterprises to design, optimize, and implement laboratory information management systems (LIMS), electronic lab notebooks (ELN), and data governance platforms that drive scientific innovation. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll combine business acumen with technical expertise to solve complex informatics challenges across pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostic, and research organizations.

What You'll Do

• Assess current laboratory workflows, data systems, and pain points to identify opportunities for digital modernization
• Design and recommend scientific data management architectures aligned with client business goals and regulatory requirements
• Lead requirements gathering with stakeholders across R&D, operations, quality, and compliance teams
• Advise on platform selection, implementation roadmaps, and change management strategies
• Support solution deployment and integration with existing enterprise systems
• Drive client adoption through training, process documentation, and best-practice guidance

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemistry, engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• 2+ years of experience in laboratory operations, informatics, or scientific systems consulting
• Strong understanding of lab workflows, LIMS platforms, data management, or quality systems
• Excellent client-facing communication and ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in business process mapping and problem-solving
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
