About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Raytheon, you will drive the design and development of mechanical systems and components engineered for the most demanding operational environments. In this on-site role based in Tewksbury, you'll apply your expertise to solve complex engineering challenges while working alongside experienced technical teams. Your contributions will shape products that impact defense capabilities and aerospace innovation.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and integrated systems
• Utilize CAD software and finite element analysis to model, simulate, and validate designs
• Conduct and lead design reviews ensuring all work meets technical specifications and performance requirements
• Generate detailed technical documentation including engineering drawings, design specifications, and analysis reports
• Support prototyping, testing, and qualification activities from concept through production
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and manufacturing engineering teams across programs
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, regulations, and customer requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, development, or systems engineering
• Proficiency with CAD platforms and mechanical analysis software
• Demonstrated leadership and technical mentoring capabilities
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality
• Required: U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
