Graphic Designer – Multi-Media Specialist

Maximus is hiring a full-time Graphic Designer – Multi-Media Specialist in Marquette, Marquette County to design and produce visual content for our organization. In this role, you'll partner with writers and subject matter experts to transform concepts into compelling layouts for digital and print audiences.

About the Role

As our Graphic Designer – Multi-Media Specialist, you'll take manuscripts, written content, and visual assets from concept through final production. You'll manage the complete design workflow—from layout and formatting to color, typography, and visual hierarchy—ensuring every piece meets organizational standards and resonates with our audience.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with authors, subject matter experts, and department teams to understand project requirements and visual objectives
• Import, organize, and integrate text and imagery into Adobe and Microsoft design applications
• Design and produce professional layouts that follow established brand style guides and organizational templates
• Create visually engaging print materials including reports, forms, charts, and information graphics
• Develop digital assets optimized for web and electronic distribution
• Apply design best practices for readability, accessibility, and visual impact across all formats
• Manage revisions and updates based on stakeholder feedback while maintaining design consistency

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong understanding of layout principles, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
• Ability to follow detailed style guides and adapt templates to new content and contexts
• Experience producing both print and digital graphics for professional publications
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy and consistency
• Ability to work effectively with authors, editors, and non-design stakeholders
• Capability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
