SE Independent Delivery Services is hiring a full-time Maintenance Tech B in Dunn, Harnett County to maintain and repair our fleet vehicles and equipment. This is an essential role supporting our ongoing delivery operations across Harnett County and the surrounding region.
About the Role
As Maintenance Tech B, you'll be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our commercial vehicles and equipment. You'll perform both routine maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting to keep our fleet operational and safe. Working in our maintenance facility, you'll contribute directly to the reliability of our delivery network and the safety of our drivers and customers.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, maintain, and repair commercial vehicles including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and wear component inspections
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using testing equipment and technical knowledge
- Document maintenance work, parts used, and service records accurately
- Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with vehicle regulations and company standards
- Communicate with dispatch and management about vehicle status and repair timelines
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and manage tools and parts inventory
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or fleet maintenance technician
- Working knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and work orders
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliability and the ability to manage multiple vehicles or projects
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
