About the Role
As an AmeriCorps Community Service Projects Participant, you'll be part of a dedicated team fostering civic responsibility and meaningful service within the Illinois State and greater McLean County communities. This full-time position offers the opportunity to develop professional skills while making a direct impact through community-centered work.
What You'll Do
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of community service projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with the Center for Civic Engagement team to expand civic engagement programming
- Work with university departments, local partners, and community organizations to advance service opportunities
- Contribute to the recruitment, coordination, and support of student volunteers and participants
- Assist with program evaluation, documentation, and reporting for AmeriCorps compliance
- Help build relationships between Illinois State and the Normal and McLean County communities
