Memorial Hospital at Gulfport is hiring a Cash Posting Specialist II for our cash management operations in Biloxi. This full-time day shift position focuses on accurately processing and reconciling insurance payments, patient deposits, and related adjustments to keep our revenue cycle running smoothly.

About the Role

In this hands-on position, you'll be the backbone of our cash posting operation—ensuring every dollar is properly recorded and every account reflects accurate payment information. You'll handle high-volume processing across multiple payment channels while maintaining the precision and compliance standards that healthcare demands.

What You'll Do

• Post insurance payments and adjustments to the correct patient accounts using both manual entry and electronic systems
• Process payments through multiple channels including electronic remittance, commercial lockbox, and insurance credit card submissions
• Reconcile third-party payments and verify accuracy against supporting documentation
• Research and resolve posting discrepancies and payment exceptions
• Monitor accounts for outstanding payments and flag issues for follow-up
• Maintain detailed records and documentation to support audit trails and compliance
• Collaborate with billing and accounting teams to ensure smooth cash flow operations

What We're Looking For

• Experience in healthcare cash posting, accounts receivable, or a related cash management role
• Proficiency with medical billing software and hospital accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large datasets
• Solid understanding of insurance claims processing and patient billing basics
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, professional communicator comfortable working on a days schedule
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant billing certification a plus
