MileHigh Adjusters Houston Inc is hiring a full-time Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster to serve the Spencerport area in Monroe County. This is an in-field role where you'll investigate claims, document damage, and help families and businesses navigate the claims process during their time of need.

About the Role

As an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster, you'll be the first point of contact for policyholders filing claims. You'll conduct on-site inspections, gather evidence, and prepare thorough reports that help determine claim eligibility and settlement amounts. This position offers independence in your work schedule and the opportunity to build relationships within the community while managing your own caseload.

What You'll Do

• Visit claimant locations to inspect property damage and collect photographic evidence
• Review police reports, medical records, and supporting documentation
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and other parties to understand claim circumstances
• Assess coverage eligibility based on policy terms and state insurance regulations
• Prepare detailed written reports with findings and settlement recommendations
• Communicate findings clearly to insurers, claimants, and legal representatives
• Maintain organized case files and meet reporting deadlines
• Use claims management software and mobile tools in the field

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfort traveling throughout Monroe County for on-site inspections
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
