About the Role

As a Social Worker IA&T in our In-Home Services Unit, you'll be part of a dedicated team carrying out North Carolina's child protective mandate. Your work will center on home-based family interventions, assessment, and support services designed to prevent child abuse and neglect while keeping families together whenever safely possible.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough assessments of family situations, documenting findings with clarity and precision
• Develop and implement individualized service plans with families to address safety and permanency goals
• Maintain regular contact with children, parents, and family members in their homes and community settings
• Prepare comprehensive case documentation and court reports as required
• Participate in court proceedings and provide testimony when cases move through the judicial system
• Collaborate with community partners, schools, and service providers to coordinate resources
• Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and advocate for family needs

What We're Looking For

• Strong written and verbal communication skills—you'll document cases thoroughly and communicate findings clearly in professional settings
• Current or recent training in North Carolina child welfare practices and regulations
• Experience working in child protective services, ideally including court involvement and case testimony
• Ability to work with diverse families and challenging situations with professionalism and compassion
