About the Role
As a Travel Physical Therapist with Aya Healthcare, you'll join a clinical team in Taos, New Mexico on a full-time, day-shift contract. The assignment runs for 13 weeks, with an anticipated start date of July 27, 2026, working five days per week on eight-hour shifts. You'll evaluate patients, build personalized treatment plans, and help individuals restore mobility, manage pain, and rebuild strength.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical condition, mobility, and functional limitations to establish baseline goals.
- Design and carry out individualized physical therapy programs grounded in evidence-based practice.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and recovery interventions.
- Track progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care providers to support coordinated patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on home exercises, injury prevention, and long-term wellness.
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license valid in the state of New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
- Availability to commit to a full-time, 13-week travel contract on day shifts.
- Flexibility to relocate temporarily to the Taos, NM area for the duration of the assignment.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.
