About the Role

As a Part Time Custodian II Floater with the Cedar Rapids Community School District, you will work the 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM shift at various locations, supporting whichever building needs coverage. Reporting to the Building Engineer, this floater position pays $21.06 per hour and is ideal for a dependable individual who takes pride in maintaining tidy, sanitary facilities throughout the district.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties, including sweeping floors and tending to assigned areas
• Clean and maintain carpets and window blinds
• Empty waste receptacles and dispose of trash properly
• Sanitize and service restroom and toilet facilities
• Move between different school buildings as a floater to provide custodial coverage where needed
• Follow direction from the Building Engineer and adhere to district cleaning standards

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine custodial and cleaning tasks reliably and independently
• Willingness to work the scheduled evening hours of 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Flexibility to travel to and serve various locations as a floater
• Physical capability to handle cleaning equipment, lift waste containers, and remain active throughout the shift
