Attorney – Aviation Litigation (Insurance Defense Background)

We Are Legal Revolution is partnering with a respected firm to hire an Aviation Litigation Attorney with an insurance defense background, a hybrid full-time opportunity based in New York City, New York, offering a base salary of up to $200k plus performance incentives.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position centered in New York City, with flexibility to work across the firm's offices in markets such as New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and Chicago. You will focus on aviation litigation, handling complex matters that span aircraft accidents, product liability, and transportation-related disputes on behalf of airlines, manufacturers, and insurers. The ideal candidate brings prior insurance defense experience and is ready to step into sophisticated, high-stakes litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage aviation litigation matters, including complex aviation accident and product liability claims.
• Represent airlines, manufacturers, insurers, and other clients in transportation-related disputes.
• Apply an insurance defense perspective to case strategy, risk assessment, and resolution.
• Handle litigation through all phases, from initial investigation and discovery to motion practice and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm's multiple office locations on cross-jurisdictional matters.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law and admission in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Background in insurance defense litigation.
• Experience or strong interest in aviation litigation, product liability, or transportation-related disputes.
• Capability to manage complex litigation independently while contributing to a collaborative, multi-office team.
• Willingness to work on a hybrid schedule based in New York City with travel flexibility across firm offices.
