25-26 SACC Caregiver – afternoons – Hamilton-Parsons

Romeo Community Schools is hiring a dependable, full-time 25-26 SACC Caregiver for afternoon (PM) shifts at Hamilton-Parsons Elementary, supporting school-aged children through our School Age Child Care (SACC) program in the United States.

About the Role

As a School Aged Child Caregiver with Romeo Community Schools, you will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for elementary students during the afternoon hours. This on-site position at Hamilton-Parsons Elementary is part of our support staff team and centers on nurturing children's well-being, supervision, and enrichment outside of regular classroom time.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for school-aged children during afternoon SACC program hours, keeping safety the top priority.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, and quiet time that encourage learning, creativity, and social growth.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels respected and included.
• Support routines such as snack time, homework help, and structured play.
• Communicate respectfully with students, families, and fellow staff members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly program space.

Qualifications

• Genuine enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children.
• Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to be present and engaged during scheduled afternoon hours on-site at Hamilton-Parsons Elementary.
• Capacity to follow program guidelines and support a structured, safe setting.
• Willingness to meet any onboarding requirements established by the district.
