CompHealth is seeking a board-certified locum tenens Hematologist/Oncologist to join a respected healthcare facility in Dock, Floyd County, Kentucky. This full-time, on-site assignment offers a balanced clinical schedule with no call responsibilities.
About the Role
As a locum tenens Hematologist/Oncologist in Dock, Floyd County, you will deliver compassionate, evidence-based cancer and blood disorder care to a regional patient community. The position follows a Monday through Friday rhythm, with shifts running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a preferred commitment of three days per week. Daily volume is typically around 15 patients, including one to three inpatients, and the assignment carries no call duties — allowing you to focus fully on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
- Provide outpatient consultations alongside coverage for one to three inpatients each day.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and coordinate continuity of care across the facility.
Qualifications
- Completed training in Hematology/Oncology with appropriate board certification or eligibility.
- Active or attainable Kentucky medical license (CompHealth assists with licensing and credentialing).
- Strong clinical judgment and a patient-centered approach to cancer and blood disorder treatment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Dock, Floyd County, on a recurring weekly schedule.
