About the Role

As a Senior Credit Underwriter – Inventory Finance, you will own the credit evaluation process for an assigned portfolio of customers and accounts. Working within the bank's established lending standards, you will assess financial health, gauge repayment capacity, and either recommend or authorize credit decisions. This position can be based at any Huntington National Bank corporate office.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret financial statements to determine the creditworthiness of assigned borrowers.
• Perform ratio calculations and trend analysis to identify financial strengths, risks, and changes over time.
• Recommend or approve credit extensions in line with the bank's policies and risk guidelines.
• Continuously monitor existing accounts to flag shifts in credit quality and emerging exposure.
• Apply sound underwriting judgment specific to inventory finance lending relationships.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in commercial credit underwriting, ideally within inventory or asset-based finance.
• Strong command of financial statement analysis, including ratio and trend evaluation.
• Familiarity with credit guidelines, lending standards, and risk assessment frameworks.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make well-supported, independent credit recommendations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting decisions and collaborating with stakeholders.
