About the Role
This is a full-time, over-the-road position for an experienced Class A CDL Company Driver running dry van loads. You'll cover long-haul lanes averaging roughly 2,000 miles each week, with pay tied to your experience level (57–64 CPM). U.S. Xpress - OTR also offers team driving options for those who prefer running with a partner, and assistance is available to help solo drivers connect with one.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely across OTR dry van routes.
- Transport and deliver freight on time while following all federal and state safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and complete required pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate with dispatch and uphold customer service standards throughout each haul.
- Average approximately 2,000 miles per week on solo runs, or partner on team lanes averaging around 5,000 miles weekly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- 1–5 months of verifiable recent driving experience required.
- Willingness to run over-the-road schedules (for example, 12 days out with 2 days home).
- Clean driving record and a commitment to safe, compliant operation.
- Open to solo or team driving arrangements.
