Crestwood Local School District seeks an experienced Yearbook Advisor to lead student media and publications at Crestwood High School, located in the United States. About the Role

As Yearbook Advisor, you'll guide and supervise a dedicated group of student editors, designers, and writers as they plan, create, and publish the school's annual yearbook. You'll foster a collaborative environment where students develop real-world skills in journalism, graphic design, project management, and teamwork. This role combines creative oversight with administrative responsibility, requiring you to balance student learning outcomes with the practical demands of producing a high-quality publication.

What You'll Do

• Direct and mentor student yearbook staff members through planning, design, and publication phases
• Coordinate photography assignments, secure candid and formal images, and organize content collection
• Review layouts, captions, and copy for accuracy, consistency, and quality standards
• Establish and manage production timelines and deadlines to ensure on-time delivery
• Communicate with school printers and external vendors regarding specifications and schedules
• Oversee yearbook finances, fundraising efforts, and budget management
• Teach fundamental skills in publication design, editing, and media literacy
• Attend school events, athletic competitions, and activities to arrange coverage and documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive culture that encourages student participation and creative expression

What We're Looking For
