About the Role
As a WSI Swim Teacher at HealthFitness, you will lead aquatic instruction that builds skill, confidence, and a lifelong love of swimming. Drawing on your Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification, you'll design and deliver engaging lessons that meet participants where they are and help them move forward. This full-time, in-person position in the US puts you at the heart of the welcoming communities of health that HealthFitness creates within the organizations it serves.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach swim lessons for individuals and groups across a range of ages and ability levels.
- Apply Water Safety Instructor methods to develop stroke technique, water comfort, and safe aquatic habits.
- Enforce pool safety standards and respond appropriately to in-water situations.
- Track participant progress and adapt instruction to support each swimmer's goals.
- Build supportive, motivating relationships that keep participants engaged and coming back.
Qualifications
- Current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification.
- Experience teaching swimming or related aquatic instruction.
- Strong communication skills and a participant-focused, encouraging approach.
- Ability to work on-site in the US in a full-time capacity.
- A genuine commitment to safety and to helping people of all abilities succeed in the water.
