Role Overview

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Farm Service Technician to join our team at the Silverton Wind Farm, located near Broken Hill in NSW. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting 58 GE 3.4-130 Turbines that generate up to 199 MW of renewable energy annually, powering over 98,000 homes across Australia.

Core Duties

• Maintain and troubleshoot wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
• Perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on wind turbine systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities as per the manufacturer's guidelines and company policies.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in wind turbine service or related field.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software for wind turbines.
