About the Role

As a Shipbuilder with Phoenix Labor Group, you'll take on hands-on welding and fitting assignments across active shipbuilding projects based in Panama City, Florida. We are filling several specialized trade positions and welcome qualified candidates ready to advance their careers in marine fabrication. Please note that some assignments may require travel.

Open Positions

• Ship Fitters
• Pipe Fitters (Carbon Steel)
• Pipe Welders (Steel)
• TIG / Pipe Welders
• Structural Welders

Key Responsibilities

• Fit, align, and assemble structural and piping components to drawings and specifications
• Perform welding on carbon steel and steel piping, including TIG and structural welds
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication layouts
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with crew members to keep shipbuilding projects on schedule

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder or fitter in a shipbuilding, marine, or heavy fabrication setting
• Hands-on skill in one or more of the open trades listed above
• Ability to work safely with welding equipment and hand tools
• Willingness and availability to travel as assignments require
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work as part of a team
