About the Role
This is a hands-on HVAC & Electrical Service Technician position based in Pittsburgh, PA, with a focus on the South Hills area. If you are an experienced technician who is worn out by aggressive sales targets and corporate red tape, South Hills Electric, Heating & Cooling offers a different way to work — one built around being the trusted, go-to expert for the homeowners and businesses we serve. You will diagnose, service, and repair both heating, cooling, and electrical systems while earning hourly pay plus uncapped commission.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, service, and repair residential and commercial HVAC equipment
- Perform electrical service work to a safe, code-compliant standard
- Deliver honest, straightforward recommendations that put the customer first
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with clients
- Represent South Hills Electric professionally on every job in the Pittsburgh area
Qualifications
- Proven, hands-on experience as an HVAC and/or electrical service technician
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across heating, cooling, and electrical systems
- A commitment to quality workmanship over high-pressure selling
- Reliable, customer-focused, and able to work independently in the field
- Authorized to work in the Pittsburgh, Allegheny County area
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range of $27.00–$31.00 per hour, based on established pay bands
- 10% commission with no earnings cap
- 100% paid benefits
