Position Summary
As a Welder with Special Products & Manufacturing, you'll be responsible for performing manual and semi-automatic welding operations on a variety of components and assemblies. You'll work in a dynamic team setting where precision, consistency, and professional workmanship are expected every single day. What You'll Do
- Execute MIG, TIG, stick, and other welding processes on steel, stainless steel, and specialized alloys
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding drawings, and fabrication specifications
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of completed welds to ensure they meet company and customer standards
- Maintain and clean welding equipment and work stations in compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with production team members and supervisors to meet daily production schedules
- Follow all OSHA safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Identify and report defects or issues that affect product quality
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven welding experience (vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting tight tolerances
- Welding certification (AWS, ASME, or company-recognized credential) preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
