About the Role
As a Visitation Monitor with Nexus Family Healing, you'll provide essential supervision and documentation during visits between children in our care and their biological families. This hands-on position requires you to create safe, supportive environments where meaningful family connections can flourish while maintaining the professional oversight that protects each child's welfare.
What You'll Do
- Supervise scheduled visitations between children and their families in accordance with court orders and case plans
- Observe and document family interactions, child behavior, and visitation outcomes with accuracy and objectivity
- Ensure a safe, neutral setting that supports positive family engagement
- Communicate observations and concerns with case workers and social workers to inform ongoing case decisions
- Support children's emotional needs before, during, and after family visits
- Maintain detailed, professional records of visitation activities and progress
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED minimum; some college or relevant childcare experience a plus
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally complex situations
- Strong observation and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Commitment to child safety and family stability
- Reliability and strong attendance for this part-time position
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
