What This Role Involves
JJ's iconic green and gold fleet of trucks are out on the road every day, keeping our communities moving. As a Truck Driver | Waste Operator, you will be responsible for driving waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently to designated locations. You'll ensure all equipment is maintained in good condition and that all safety regulations are followed.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Pick up and transport waste materials from various locations as per the schedule
- Ensure proper sorting, loading, and unloading of waste materials into designated containers or trucks
- Follow safe driving practices to ensure a secure and efficient delivery process
- Perform regular vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to management
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver | Waste Operator who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency. You should have excellent driving skills, be familiar with waste collection procedures, and possess strong attention to detail.
- A valid Class 1 or 2 truck driver's license
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of local roads and areas for efficient route planning
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols and regulations
