Truck Driver Owner Operator – OTR – Specialized

Are you an experienced owner operator ready to haul specialized cargo across the country? UACL Logistics, based in Corpus Christi, Texas, is expanding its fleet and seeking qualified truck drivers to transport over-dimensional wind energy equipment on dedicated over-the-road routes.

About the Role

This is a full-time owner operator position focused on the transportation of wind turbine components, including blades, towers, and related heavy equipment. As an independent contractor with UACL Logistics, you'll manage your own operation while transporting high-value, specialized cargo across multiple states. This role offers significant earning potential, with compensation ranging from $300,000 to $700,000 annually, depending on your experience, equipment, and utilization.

What You'll Do

• Transport over-dimensional wind turbine blades and towers using specialized heavy haul equipment
• Navigate complex routing and permitting requirements for oversized loads
• Maintain detailed logs, documentation, and compliance records for each haul
• Coordinate with dispatch and project managers to meet delivery schedules
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and maintenance
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols for hazardous cargo transport

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 months of commercial truck driving experience
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
• Experience with heavy haul or specialized transport preferred
• Your own well-maintained truck and equipment that meets UACL specifications
• Professional attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Willingness to work OTR (over-the-road) routes
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and oversized load permits
