About This Position

Host Healthcare is currently recruiting a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for an intensive care unit (ICU) travel nursing role in Alexandria, Louisiana. The position offers a 13-week contract starting on August 31, 2026, with a commitment of 36 hours per week and a night shift schedule.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions and provide critical care in an ICU setting
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Assist with patient transfers and monitor their condition during transport
• Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations accurately
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans

Qualifications

• A valid RN license is required
• ICU experience is highly preferred
• Night shift readiness and flexibility are essential
• Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills are necessary
