About the Role
This Trash Technician position is part of ESFM and is based on-site at 975 Powder Plant Road, Bessemer, AL 35022. As a full-time team member, you'll play a hands-on part in maintaining a tidy, well-managed environment. Multiple shift options are available, and the specifics of scheduling will be reviewed with you during your interview. The role pays a fixed rate of $15.80 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and remove waste materials throughout the assigned location in Bessemer, Jefferson County.
- Transport refuse to designated disposal and collection areas safely and efficiently.
- Help keep work zones, walkways, and disposal points clean and free of debris.
- Follow established safety procedures and proper handling guidelines at all times.
- Support the broader facilities team in maintaining a clean, organized site.
Qualifications
- No previous experience needed — we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Availability for a full-time schedule, with the flexibility to work one of several shift options.
- A dependable, safety-minded approach and the physical ability to perform routine waste-handling tasks.
