About the Role
As a Touch-Up Painter at System One, you'll perform specialized paint repair and restoration work on rail cars. Your attention to detail ensures every finished surface meets exacting customer expectations and industry compliance standards while providing effective corrosion protection.
What You'll Do
- Inspect rail car surfaces to identify paint defects, wear, corrosion, and damage requiring repair
- Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and other prep work to ready them for paint application
- Apply touch-up paint and finish coatings, matching existing colors and finishes accurately
- Ensure all work meets customer specifications and industry quality standards
- Perform final quality inspections and touch-up work to guarantee a flawless finish
- Maintain safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment throughout all tasks
- Document completed work and maintain accurate records of materials and hours
