Join CenturyLink (operating as Lumen) as an Account Manager II – Desk Based Sales (Remote, US), a full-time, work-from-home opportunity to grow new business across the United States while selling the connectivity, cloud, edge, and AI-ready solutions that enterprises depend on.
About the Role
This is an advanced, remote desk-based sales position focused on generating new revenue and expanding brand visibility within an assigned territory. You'll concentrate primarily on new logo acquisition through well-supported prospecting and selling motions, with limited field engagement. As a senior member of the team, you'll also help develop peers and newer colleagues. The standard schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, sell, and manage accounts from your desk to consistently hit monthly sales quotas.
- Generate qualified pipeline through calls, emails, social outreach, marketing campaigns, call blitzes, and disciplined follow-up.
- Deliver a compelling value proposition using consultative and transactional approaches that maximize revenue.
- Navigate internal systems to produce timely quotes and run well-prepared, agenda-driven customer meetings.
- Engage internal resources and the broader sales ecosystem to drive high-impact opportunities to close with urgency.
- Keep Salesforce.com current with accurate stages, notes, account plans, activity reports, and reliable monthly forecasts.
- Mentor teammates, attend required training, and lead by example with energy and integrity.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of sales experience, ideally in an inside, desk-based, or hybrid role.
- Background selling telecom solutions and comparable products and services.
- Proven track record opening new accounts and territories (a strong plus).
- Persuasive prospecting and cold-calling skills across phone, email, and social channels.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM, with an organized, planned daily approach.
- A coachable, results-driven team player who communicates clearly and thrives under challenges.
