Stocking Team Associate

The Opportunity

Walmart is seeking a dependable Stocking Team Associate to join our retail operations in Shark River Hills. As part of our stocking team, you'll be essential to maintaining store operations by ensuring merchandise is readily available, properly organized, and presented to our customers. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where your efforts directly impact the shopping experience. Compensation ranges from $16 to $29 per hour, with additional opportunities through annual or quarterly performance incentives and potential schedule or facility premiums.

Core Duties

• Stock shelves and displays with merchandise according to company standards and planogram guidelines
• Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying accuracy and condition
• Organize and arrange products to maximize shelf space and visibility
• Maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO (first in, first out) principles
• Keep stockroom and sales floor areas clean, organized, and safe
• Identify and report damaged merchandise or inventory discrepancies
• Assist customers with product location and general store inquiries
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and other stocking tools as trained
• Comply with all safety procedures and company policies

Skills & Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise regularly (up to 50+ pounds)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members
• Reliable attendance and flexibility with scheduling
• Willingness to learn company systems and follow standard operating procedures
• Basic verbal communication skills for customer and team interaction
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, and repetitive motions throughout shifts
