About the Role
The Station Controller at Auckland One Rail is a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient station operations. You will oversee the day-to-day activities of our stations and stabling yards, manage customer service, coordinate incident responses, and maintain safety and security across the network.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of stations and stabling yards to ensure efficiency and safety
- Deliver exceptional customer service to passengers and staff
- Manage station operations and coordinate with various departments as needed
- Respond to incidents and emergencies, ensuring appropriate measures are taken promptly
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within rail operations
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and emergency response procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, passengers, and stakeholders
- Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- HNC/HND or degree in a relevant field such as transport management, engineering, or a related discipline is desirable but not mandatory
