About the Role
Join the Neonatal Intensive Care team at Adventist Health Sierra Vista, where you will care for our community's most fragile newborns along California's Central Coast. This is an ongoing, full-time staff RN position with an immediate (ASAP) start date, ideal for a compassionate nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, family-centered nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates in the NICU.
- Continuously monitor and assess vital signs, respiratory status, and developmental needs of newborn patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and specialized interventions according to physician orders and unit protocols.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team to plan and adjust patient care.
- Educate and support families throughout their infant's stay, documenting care accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of California.
- Clinical background in NICU, Neonatal Intensive Care, or a comparable high-acuity nursing setting.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication abilities under pressure.
- Availability for full-time staff scheduling beginning as soon as possible.
