Solid Phase Technician – Transfusion and Transplant

Join Werfen as a Solid Phase Technician - Transfusion and Transplant in our Norcross, Gwinnett County facility. This is a full-time position where you'll play a critical role in manufacturing and quality assurance for specialized diagnostic assays that directly impact patient care in transfusion and transplant settings.

About the Role

As a Solid Phase Technician, you'll work with advanced biomaterial and assay technologies in our Original Equipment Manufacturing operation. Your hands-on expertise will ensure the precision and reliability of our transfusion and transplant diagnostic products—tools that healthcare professionals depend on daily.

What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain solid phase technology equipment according to established protocols and procedures
• Prepare and process reagents, samples, and diagnostic assay materials with precision
• Conduct quality control testing and validation procedures to ensure product integrity
• Document all work accurately and completely to maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and company standard operating procedures
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate technical challenges to supervisors
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification
• Technical training, certification, or hands-on laboratory experience (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures precisely
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with technical equipment
• Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to a consistent work schedule
• Ability to work collaboratively within a manufacturing team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
