CHANEL is seeking a Fashion Product Merchandising Manager to lead product strategy across the Italian market, partnering with boutiques in Milano to shape and bring to life assortments that embody the brand's singular allure. This remote-friendly, full-time role places you at the heart of CHANEL's evolving creative vision.
About the Role
As Fashion Product Merchandising Manager for Italy, you will pilot the Fashion assortment, fine-tune collection performance, and champion Creation while delivering strong commercial results in boutiques. You'll work hand in hand with the Europe Fashion Product Merchandising team and Italian boutique teams, dedicating no less than a quarter of your time to on-the-ground boutique visits where you'll spot opportunities, audit assortments, and resolve merchandising questions in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate and roll out the pan-European product strategy for Italy, honouring CHANEL's vision alongside local nuances and the "One Boutique, One Story" philosophy.
- Lead the buying cycle — steering buying sessions, guiding boutiques through showrooms, reviewing selections, and hosting a final market buying review.
- Analyse collection performance both quantitatively and qualitatively, tracking sell-through, top and slow sellers by boutique, segment, size, colour, and style.
- Oversee stock levels and delivery status, balancing supply with demand to protect launch goals and commercial impact.
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising and Style Expertise teams on seasonal launches, windows, and commercial initiatives to build 360° action plans.
- Safeguard CHANEL's brand codes, seasonal narratives, and luxury positioning across every product presentation.
- Contribute feedback and best practices to European Product Merchandising governance, helping evolve shared ways of working.
Qualifications
- At least 8–10 years of Product Merchandising experience, ideally within Fashion.
- A genuine feel for Fashion and product, with command of the Italian competitive landscape and trends.
- Strong analytical ability and a grasp of commercial performance drivers, paired with the skill to launch and measure targeted action plans.
- A collaborative, service-minded approach and the interpersonal strength to support and grow boutique teams.
- Affinity with CHANEL's culture and its Creation-first model, plus enthusiasm for transformation and innovation.
- Fluency in Italian and English; French is an asset.
- Willingness to travel throughout Italy, with regular trips to Paris.
