Shelter & Housing Services Manager

Martin's House & Barn in Ridgely, Virginia is seeking an experienced and compassionate Shelter & Housing Services Manager to lead our emergency shelter, housing assistance, and supportive services programs. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in rural Maryland.

About the Role

As our Shelter & Housing Services Manager, you'll oversee comprehensive shelter and housing programs serving vulnerable populations in Caroline County. You'll manage day-to-day shelter operations, coordinate housing initiatives, and ensure clients receive the supportive services they need to achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage daily emergency shelter operations, including intake procedures, client services, and facility management
• Oversee housing programs and work directly with clients to develop sustainable housing solutions
• Supervise and mentor staff and volunteer teams to deliver quality services
• Coordinate supportive services including case management, resource referrals, and emergency assistance
• Ensure program compliance with relevant regulations and maintain safety standards for all residents
• Build and nurture partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and local resources
• Monitor program outcomes, manage budgets, and allocate resources effectively

• Proven experience managing shelter operations, housing programs, or equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrated compassion for individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities

Compensation

This full-time position offers competitive compensation of $52,000–$56,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
