CapeClarke Limited seeks an experienced Serious Injury Solicitor/ Legal Executive (Claimant PI) to join its team in Guys Cliffe, Warwick on a full-time basis. Remuneration reaches up to £59,000 depending on experience, supported by a quarterly profit share bonus. The post suits a practitioner who values substantial serious injury work for claimants in a smaller-firm environment free from heavier corporate demands and who wishes to advance complex claims with proper attention to detail and client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of multi-track and catastrophic injury files from first instruction through to settlement or trial on behalf of injured claimants.
• Investigate incidents thoroughly, obtain medical and liability evidence, instruct experts and compile strong supporting documentation.
• Advise clients clearly on liability, quantum, funding and strategy while keeping them informed at every stage of the claim.
• Negotiate robust outcomes with defendant insurers and third-party lawyers, escalating to litigation when required and preparing court papers in line with the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Coordinate with counsel, rehabilitation providers and internal supporters to maximise recovery prospects on serious injury matters.
• Maintain accurate case records, manage caseloads efficiently and meet all protocol and procedural timescales.

Skills & Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with demonstrable post-qualification experience handling claimant-side serious injury claims.
• Solid working knowledge of personal injury law, the Judicial College Guidelines, relevant pre-action protocols and multi-track procedure.
• Ability to work independently on high-value files while exercising sound judgement on quantum, liability and tactical decisions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for client-facing advice, correspondence and negotiations.
• Organised case-management style with meticulous attention to medical evidence, limitation dates and court deadlines.
