What This Role Involves

The Senior Mine Geologist will play a crucial role in managing geological operations and ensuring the successful exploration and production of high-grade gold resources. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the geology department to ensure accurate mapping, sampling, and analysis of ore bodies.
• Developing and implementing geological models for resource estimation and mine planning.
• Managing exploration programs to identify new mineralization opportunities.
• Collaborating with mining engineers and other stakeholders to optimize production processes.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the mining industry.

Your Responsibilities

The Senior Mine Geologist will be responsible for:

• Leading geological surveys and assessments of mine sites to identify potential areas for exploration and development.
• Providing technical support for mine planning, including reserve and resource estimation.
• Maintaining detailed records of all geological activities and findings.
• Preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Working closely with the production team to ensure efficient and safe mining operations.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mine Geologist who possesses:

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in the mining industry, with at least 5 years in a senior geology role.
• A strong background in geological mapping, mineral resource assessment, and exploration techniques.
• Experience in using geological software for data analysis and modeling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
